Golden Thread performances:
Playback Theatre is a unique form of theatre enabling audiences to tell their stories.
It was created by Jonathan Fox in New York and since 1975 has found its way into numerous settings in 17 countries.
People from the audience are invited to share moments from their lives. They then watch them brought to life as the company immediately recreates the essence of their story using movement, dance, music and song
Connections are often made that bridge gaps in our communities and empower those who have been denied a voice.
Quotes from our audiences:
"It felt as though we arrived as strangers and left as friends."
"...fabulous and magnificent...I have never seen anything like it."
"Very memorable. It was great to hear other people's stories and see mine interpreted in such a short space of time."
